Maritza, Receptionist
Maritza joined Lakewood Veterinary Center in June 2026 and has been working in veterinary medicine since 2023. An animal lover for as long as she can remember, she hopes to continue growing her skills and eventually attend school so she can cross-train and take on new roles in veterinary care.
Maritza has quite the animal family at home, including three dogs—Lobo, a Shepherd mix; Zeke, a Pitbull mix; and Rojo, a Heeler mix—a Siamese cat named Nico, two turtles named JJ and Squirtle, and five goats! Over the years, she’s also cared for guinea pigs, rabbits, and horses.
Outside of work, Maritza enjoys reading, cooking, playing soccer with her brother, walking her dogs, and staying in for a good movie.
